EQUIPMENT Almost all exported castings are premachined before delivery. Akmetal uses premachining as part of its fettling and finishing operations. Instead of manual grindings, machine tools are used to finish the scared surfaces of removed running and feeding systems. Also premachined castings give more accurate results in US and MP testings. A range of lathes and milling machines are used for these operations and are listed below.
